Children's Pottery (7-12yrs)
A very exciting and enjoyable program for children learning basic handbuilding techniques. Students are
encouraged to express their own creativity with each piece. Returning students are given more challenging
projects. (Only 12 children per class)

Atelier de Poterie pour les enfants (7-12ans)

This course is aimed at students who have completed level I and wish to advance, but still require more
guidance from the instructor for the full 2 1/2 hour class. The class will progress towards more advanced
forms including covered forms, bowls, plates, sets, teapots and closed-in forms. Prerequisite: Be able to
consistently centre and throw a cylinder as high as it is wide. (8 students only)

Tiles and Mosaics for all levels
An exciting and ancient art form!  You will create and paint your own hand made tiles and build an

Pottery for Special Needs (Some students may need a helper)
For students who have some physical or mental challenges and would like to work with clay. Instructor will

POTTERY COURSES OFFERED
Studio Time

This is an opportunity for students to use our studio on an
independent basis. Prerequisite: You have taken at least one or
two courses with GPS or be a practicing potter and be familiar
with studio equipment and rules. Members must have their own
hand tools. Lockers are available for rent. Clay to be purchased
through the school. Fee includes 21 hours of time to be used in
three hour segments and between a three month period.  
Payment to be made at the Front Desk of Shenkman Arts
Centre.
Key to studio is signed out at Front Desk.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to experience their
creativity through clay. The week long camp runs for 2 hours per
day. Your child will make four to five creative projects during the
week guided by an instructor. We will glaze and fire the pieces
when they are dry for collection within two weeks. (10 students
only).
