Clément Hoeck

Clément is a ceramic artist and cabinetmaker. He works out of his 2 home studios and divides his time between working with clay and wood. After being hooked on the potter’s wheel while studying fine arts in college in 1996 he went on to study the craft of ceramics all the while working in various cabinet making shops in Montreal. He completed a vocational degree from Montreal’s Centre de Céramique Bonsecours in 2000 as well as a College technical training in cabinetry and architectural millwork from l’École Québécoise du Meuble de Montréal from 2000 to 2003. He creates utilitarian and decorative ceramics as well furniture crafted from local and exotic woods. His work can be seen at www.clayrootsstudio.com
