Gas Kiln Glazes

The glazes that are available are Gloucester Pottery School's Cone 6 and the highly coveted Shinos, Temmokus, and Copper Reds.

All firings are cone 6 firings. If you are wanting to fire to a higher temperature, that will have to be discussed with the studio technician and school director. If you are interested in booking a spot in any of the upcoming firings, or if you have any questions/concerns please contact me at Isaac@gloucesterpotteryschool.com.

We will be arranging another gas firing workshop in May (date to be determined) with Mike Doxey for those of you who would like to learn the firing process. It includes, glazing in the afternoon, loading the kiln in the evening and the following day, you will be tracking the temperature rise, starting the reduction process and learning all the steps in starting and stopping the kiln along with the safety procedure. This is a great opportunity to really understand reduction firing. The cost will be $125 + HST for the two days.

Please check the "Professional Workshops" tab on the website for more information.
