Biography:
I am currently turning to a lifelong interest in the human form. I did
lots of life drawing early on and still love interpreting the human
figure through drawing ( on pots and on paper). The series of
Garden Queens shown in the Garden Art Exhibition at Lafreniere
and Pai Gallery Ottawa in May 2009 and the series of 10 of these
Garden Queens commissioned by Prime Gallery for a show The
Royal Botanical Gardens for September 2009 in Hamilton have given
me much practice in supersizing my pots into sculptures and in
coming out of the closet with making faces and heads.

Last years "paintings in the form of pots", one of which was
purchased by the Canada Council Art Bank, and one that is in this
years OCC Masterworks East Exhibition are the foundational clay
"drawing /paintings" for the sculptures that I am now working on.
This fall the Canada Council Art Bank also bought my figurative
piece Jane Jacobs which has further inspired me to continue
interpreting the figure as an extention of my clay work as a potter.
