Summer Camp Registration Gloucester Pottery School Camps are back for 2022! Kids Camps and Teen Adult Camps! COVID 19 - In order to safely run the Gloucester Pottery School programs, everyone entering the premises must wear a mask that covers the nose, mouth and chin. This intensive learning environment with daily lessons will not only be fun, but will help build a great foundation for further classes. Beginners are welcome, as well as those with previous experience who are looking to hone their skills. Our technicians will glaze the pots afterwards. Pottery is ready for pick up 3-4 weeks after camp. Ages 12yrs and up. Materials included. This workshop is designed for those looking to move beyond fundamental wheel-throwing techniques and develop a more personal, sculptural, or functional style. Participants will learn to manipulate forms through a variety of exciting altering techniques, allowing them to create unique and imaginative pieces. Throughout the day, you'll explore methods such as: • Darting: Cut wedge-shaped pieces out of cylindrical forms to create elegant tapered shapes. • Squaring/Ovaling: Use pressing, paddling, or re-forming techniques to transform round pots into squares, rectangles, or ovals. • Cut & Paste/Joining: Discover how to cut pieces apart and reassemble them into new, innovative shapes. • Faceting/Fluting: Carve away clay or add textured details to enhance the visual and structural elements of your work. This camp is ideally suited for students who have experience centering and throwing consistent cylinders or bowls (typically using 2-3 pounds of clay). Our experienced instructors will provide personalized guidance to help you push your creative boundaries and explore new techniques. Join us for a day of artistic exploration where you'll develop your style, enhance your skills, and create one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect your unique vision. This intensive learning environment with daily lessons will not only be fun, but will help build a great foundation for further classes. Beginners are welcome, as well as those with previous experience who are looking to hone their skills. Our technicians will glaze the pots afterwards. One Night Handbuilding - Garden Bell - Fri May 22 @ 6:30pm Une nuit de façonnage Vanessa Villarreal English / Anglais Friday/vendredi 6:30 PM 9:00 PM 5/22/2026 99 Register – Inscrire In this week's handbuilding workshop, students will roll and form slabs to create a unique bell, lovely to hang from a tree or in the garden. They will be instructed step by step on how to construct the basic form the bell, and are then encouraged to use their imaginations and a variety of decorating tools and techniques to get creative with their embellishments. Price includes 2.5 hours of instruction, all materials, tools, and the glazing and firing by our technicians. Projects will be ready for pick up in approximately 3-4 weeks (participants will be notified via email). This workshop is open to clients 16 years and older. Cette semaine, lors de l'atelier de faconnage, les élèves façonneront des plaques pour créer une cloche unique, idéale à suspendre à un arbre ou à poser dans le jardin.
