Gas kiln firing will be optional for those students who are interested. This course is for students who have completed two to three courses on the wheel and who can consistently throw a cylinder, evenly, as high as it is wide. 10kg of clay included, with more available for purchase. Prerequisite Level 1.5. Ages 16 to Adult. The students will be provided with a number of options to create the main form of their dishes, and they will then apply coloured slips to their projects and carve out their decorations using an assortment of sgraffito tools as demonstrated by the instructor. All pieces will be clear glazed to highlight this fun decorative technique.Price includes 2.5 hours of instruction, all materials, tools, and the glazing and firing by our technicians. Projects will be ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks (participants will be notified via email). This workshop is open to clients 16 years and older.Dans l?atelier de cette semaine, les élèves exploreront leur créativité à travers un plat fabriqué à la main sur lequel ils appliqueront la technique du sgraffite. Come create something beautiful and functional! Decorative techniques demonstrated will include the use of underglazes and oxides to adorn and illustrate, appliqué's, texturing, etc.Price includes 2.5 hours of instruction, all materials, tools, and the glazing and firing by our technicians. Projects will be ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks (participants will be notified via email).
