The basic Level 1 program is covered with a more indepth program for the returning student. Materials included. No prerequisite is required. Ages:12 to adult. We strive to offer a wide variety of classes each term introducing new classes to meet the demand of the community. We offer something for everyone, be sure to click the link below to find out more! We encourage you to check out our new Introduction to Ceramics class - it is not a pre requisite for wheel 1 or handbuilding but it will give you a great foundation in clay. One Night Handbuilding - Mugs - Fri May 15 @ 6:30pm Une nuit de façonnage Vanessa Villarreal English / Anglais Friday/vendredi 6:30 PM 9:00 PM 5/15/2026 99 Register – Inscrire An opportunity to try something new with this single evening handbuilding workshop. In this week’s workshop, students will explore their creativity through handbuilt mugs! Once the form is created, the student will be instructed on how to decorate it using various techniques which may include wax inlay, sgraffito, slip trailing, or carving. Price includes 2.5 hours of instruction, all materials, tools, and the glazing and firing by our technicians. Projects will be ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks (participants will be notified via email). This workshop is open to clients 16 years and older. The class will experiment with different decorating styles using patterns, embellishments, and underglaze colors and slips to enhance the work. There will be a deeper tutorial in glazing and decorating techniques to enhance patterns and textures on the students work. 10kg of clay included, with more available for purchase. No prerequisite. Ages 16 to Adult. Please bring an apron to protect your clothes. Dans ce cours de 6 semaines, l'instructeur montrera la base du façonnage pour la céramique à la fois utilitaire et décorative. Here is your opportunity to enjoy one evening discovering the art of throwing clay during this 2.5 hour workshop. What to expect:- The first 20-30 minutes will be a demonstration- The next 1 to 2 hours will be spent throwing pots on the wheel ? the whole class together at first so the instructor can ensure everyone?s successful first pot, and then students can continue at their own pace- The last 20-30 minutes the student will be instructed on how to clean their work stations ? an important part of the pottery making process to maintain a safe and healthy studio environmentAfter the workshop our technicians will trim and fire your pieces and they will be ready for you to pick up in 3 weeks. This workshop is open to clients 16 years and older. No previous experience required. All materials included. $99 +HST each. One Night Handbuilding - Sgraffito Dish- Fri Apr 17 @ 6:30pm Une nuit de façonnage Samantha Mottahed English / Anglais Friday/vendredi 6:30 PM 9:00 PM 4/17/2026 99 Register – Inscrire In this week’s workshop, students will explore their creativity through a handbuilt dish on which they will apply the sgraffito technique. The students will be provided with a number of options to create the main form of their dishes, and they will then apply coloured slips to their projects and carve out their decorations using an assortment of sgraffito tools as demonstrated by the instructor. All pieces will be clear glazed to highlight this fun decorative technique. Price includes 2.5 hours of instruction, all materials, tools, and the glazing and firing by our technicians. Projects will be ready for pick up in approximately 3-4 weeks (participants will be notified via email). This workshop is open to clients 16 years and older.
