Wheel Level 1 - Sun 4:30pm Tour niveau 1 dim 16h30 Andree Pilon-McCullough English / Anglais Sunday/dimanche 4:30 PM 7:00 PM 11/09/2025 12/14/2025 359 Register – Inscrire This course is an introductory wheel course. Class duration 2.5 hours for 6 consecutive weeks. The student will cover the basic techniques for the beginner. You will first learn the art of centering the clay which will allow you make different pot shapes. Trimming a foot onto a pot and surface decoration is covered. Materials included. No prerequisite is required. Ages 16 to adultCe cours est une introduction en profondeur du cours sur le tour. La durée du cours est de 2,5 heures pendant 6 semaines consécutives. This more advanced class will push students to make more technically difficult forms. Prerequisite: At least one level 1 wheel class. Ability to center and pull walls up consistently, if unsure please contact the school to discuss which class is best suited to you. 10kg of clay included, with more available for purchase. Ages 16 to adult.Ce cours est pour les étudiants qui ont terminé le niveau 1 et sont capables de centrer et de tourner systématiquement un cylindre aussi haut que large. Teen/Adult Handbuilding Level 1 Sat 1:00pm Façonnage pour ados/adultes - niveau 1 sam 13h00 Emma Gauthier Bilingual / Bilingue Saturday/samedi 1:00 PM 3:00 PM 11/01/2025 12/06/2025 309 Register – Inscrire In this 6 week class students will learn the basics of handbuilding for both functional and decorative ceramics. The class will experiment with different decorating styles using patterns, embellishments, and underglaze colors and slips to enhance their work. There will be a deeper tutorial in glazing and decorating techniques to enhance patterns and textures on the students work. Materials included. No prerequisite is required. Ages:12 to adult. Please bring an apron or an old towel to protect your clothes.Au cours de ce cours de 6 semaines, les etudiants apprendront les bases de la façonnage céramiques fonctionnelles et décoratives. One Night Handbuilding - Mugs - Fri Dec 19 @ 6:30pm Une nuit de façonnage Vanessa Villarreal English / Anglais Friday/vendredi 6:30 PM 9:00 PM 12/19/2025 99 Register – Inscrire An opportunity to try something new with this single evening handbuilding workshop. In this week?s workshop, students will explore their creativity through handbuilt mugs! Once the form is created, the student will be instructed on how to decorate it using various techniques which may include wax inlay, sgraffito, slip trailing, or carving.Price includes 2.5 hours of instruction, all materials, tools, and the glazing and firing by our technicians. PLEASE NOTE projects are generally ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after the workshop, but the studio will be closed for the holidays. You will be notified via email in early January when they are ready. This workshop is open to clients 16 years and older.Une occasion d'essayer quelque chose de nouveau avec cet atelier de façonnage à la main d'une seule soirée. There is 1 hour lunch break Saturday and Sunday. Saturday there is a 3 hour break between demonstrations and Artist Talks. There are many food options in the area including restaurants, food court at Place d'Orleans and a Farm Boy grocery store. Coffee Gloucester Pottery School will provide coffee and light snacks Saturday and Sunday morning. We encourage you to bring a mug. You are welcome to bring your coffee into the Theatre. There is a Starbucks at the mall and a Tim Horton's just across from the mall.
